Vintage Guitar Magazine Reviews The Epiphone SG Special
Be sure to pick up a copy of the April 2011 issue of Vintage Guitar Magazine. Pete Prown reviews the Epiphone SG Special and here is a sneak peek at what he had to say:
Plugged into digital and tube amp rigs, the SG Special proved a formidable metal machine.
The humbuckers are awesome for high-gain situations, too.
In fact, these are yet more examples of Epiphone's excellent import pickups - not the first we've run into on lower-end Epi models.
While it would be easy to scoff at the Special's price and bolt-on neck, it's a seriously badass solidbody - proof that paying less for an import doesn't automatically mean you're getting an inferior product.
It's a serious butt-kickin' guitar.
